75 Years on the RoadCuchulainn Cycling Club are celebrating 75 years and are launching the years events on February 12th @ 8pm in the Park Hotel Dundalk. There will be finger food available to all attendees on the night. This is a great chance to gather for what maybe a once off Photo of as many cycling friends as possible.
As part of the celebrations the club is planning to run a number of special events including a stage finish of the FBD Insurance Rás, a team stage race, Mizen to Malin Head Challenge in addition to some of the more established events including the very popular FPM Chartered Accounts Summer League. Full details of all events will be outlined on the night.
In addition to the above we are appealing to ALL LOCAL CYCLISTS AND TRIATHLETES to come along as we plan to take a group photograph and want to draw as many of the areas cyclists together as possible. If you know any cyclists from the area please ask them to come along for this historical event. We would ask all cyclists to wear a local Jersey (Cuchulainn / Setanta / Louth Mouths) if they have one and if they have an extra jersey to bring it along as well for those that don't.
We also hope to unveil plans regarding a proposal for a new Cycling Park and Velodrome for the North East in addition to an appeal for information regarding a new book we are compiling on the history of cycling in the local area.
